Aside from boating (because we do that now), we've been snorkeling and practicing our underwater photography. One "waterproof" video camera destroyed, and one to go!

A Boat! A Boat!! We Have A Boat!!!

It was Eric's birthday this week, and we got a surprise in the mail to celebrate!  Eric's mom and Rich sent us an inflatable boat.  Like a really nice one with ores, and fishing pole holders, and seats, and everything.  We got it all inflated and took it out for a spin on the lagoon this afternoon.  So awesome!

Pile o' Fish

Today we had guests.  A large school of small fish spent the day hanging out by the house, swimming around in the shallows.  They were pretty cool to watch!

Big Weather!

One of the most interesting parts of living on a flat coral atoll is that the weather blows straight in off the ocean with nothing to mitigate it.  It is usually big, interesting, and gone as fast as it came.  Today we watched this storm blow across the lagoon.

That appears to be a wall of rain.

It is moving fast...

While the weather is bad outside, what should we do?  Cook!!  We want broc!!
